If you draw in a clockwise direction you will only select items completely within your selection area. The direction you begin drawing determines which items end up being selected relative to the selection boundary. The Lasso tool allows you to draw selection boundaries. For example, if you triple-click a face in a cube, the entire cube is selected. selects that edge and each connected face. selects the face and all bounding edges. Double and triple actions can give a few different results. A single tap, touch or click will select a single edge or face. With either tool you can select parts of your model using a single, double, or triple tap, touch, or click. SketchUp for iPad offers two tools to help you select what parts of your model you want to modify with SketchUp's other tools and commands - the Lasso tool ( ) and the Select tool ( ).
